Chelsea crushed Wigan Athletic 8-0 on Sunday to domesticate the English Premier League title, ensuring they ousted Manchester United by a lone point after making a record haul of 103 goals in this season.

This title was a stunning display from Carlo Ancelotti’s side for the first time since Jose Mourinho brained back to back wins in 2004-05 and 2005-06.

The Red Devils, Manchester United tried to defend the title by defeating Stoke 4-0 at Old Trafford but Chelsea cannot be dumped by the Wigan at the final match.

Nicolas Anelka scored the opener in the first 5 minutes that made the supporters calm and it was confirmed that the title was Chelsea’s after Frank Lampard scored the penalty in the 30thminute. It was his 22nd goal in this season.

Didier Drogba got into action in a unknown way with Lampard above who was taking that penalty but still ended the after with the Hat-trick, that ensured that he took the EPL’s golden boot with 29 goals.

Anelka ended up with a double and Salomon Kalou and Ashley Cole also got in on the act as Chelsea ran up their biggest ever victory in the top flight.

Chelsea made a much needed advantage with the star Rooney to move to first by defeating Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday.

Joe Cole and The Ivory Coast Forward Didier Drogba gave Manchester United the nightmares by hitting one goal each. The Red Devils looked like having less inspiration without their star forward Wayne Rooney.

Red Devils saved their face after a late goal from substitute Federico Macheda to ensure they have some momentum as United had begged for 3 penalty appeals.

Nani crossed to Macheda at the 81st minute giving the Devils a security. Rooney’s nonappearance changed the entire shape of the Devils, with Berbatov failed to be up to his status and the attackers like Ryan Giggs and Antonio Valencia could not come up with some lively attacks.

Inter Milan cruised with 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday night. Mourinho won his first game in Stamford bridge sice 2007. The Serie-A giants are qualified for quarterfinals of the Champions League.

”Today I was the enemy, and today the enemy won,” Inter Milan Manager said.

Samuel Eto’o hit in the the first goal for them in the Champions League, and ended Chelsea its 21-match home unbeaten streak.

”Yesterday I exchanged a few SMS with John Terry and I told him, ‘Tomorrow someone will be sad, but that’s life,”’ Mourinho said of the Chelsea captain.

Carlos Tevez needed much time off as the Manchester City forward in advance had the birth of his baby daughter.

Tevez, whose 26, missed the city’s last 3 matches after being allowed sympathetic holiday to go to Argentina where his daughter, Katie, rigorous care.

Tevez has spoken to the club representatives but they do not know where he will return.

Roberto Mancini’s men in blue faces Stoke city in the FA Cup on Wednesday and play the Premier League Heads Chelsea on Saturday.

Manchester City manager Mancini expecting to have Tevez available for those matches but has not spoken to the Argentine, who  scored 19 goals since joining  the team from local opponents Manchester United last summer, since Wednesday.

“I don’t know where Tevez is,” said Mancini after Sunday’s 0-0 draw match with Liverpool as they were dropped to the sixth place in the Premier League table. “I think he is in Argentina. Added Mancini

“It’s a big problem for us because we have an important week and we don’t have Tevez. For me it is no good. Carlos has been eight days at home and I don’t know if, while in Argentina, he has been working [on his fitness].

“I hope Carlos, within the next two days, can come back here because we need him. Maybe he is on the plane. He had some problems with his family but now it has been resolved and I hope he comes back. I need him.” Said the city manager

Tevez’s consultant Kia Joorabchian said the player was aiming to return in time for City’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

He also persisted that the former West Ham striker’s fitness was good and that Carlos had been in regular contact with the club.

“He hopes to be back for the Chelsea game,” said Joorabchian. “He hopes things will get better, for his daughter’s sake and because he wants to get back and play. He loves to play.
