Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra-One is a science fiction superhero film, directed by Anubhav Sinha. Kareena Kapoor will be featured as the leading lady in the film and Arjun Rampal will be the big mysterious and dreadful villain.

It seems that Ra-One is the abbreviation for Random Access – Version 1.0.

The movie was planned to be released on 3^rd June 2011, but later on pushed back due to extensive post production work. The film is set for release on 26^th October 2011.

In September 2010, Khan signed Hans Zimmer to compose the background score for the film thus making Ra.One Zimmer’s first Bollywood project. Apart from Zimmer, singer Akon was also roped in to sing a song for the film. The singer arrived in India on March 8, 2010 and recorded two songs with composers Vishal-Shekhar.

R&B singer admires SRK

Rhythm and Blues lead singer Akon, is now here to sing as well as to compose songs for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Ra.1.

R&B singer states that he will not only have shows in India during his world tour but would besides do more work here soon.

“I am a big fan of Shah Rukh. I am very familiar with Shah Rukh’s work. I am meeting Kareena Kapoor for the first time today” Akon said.

“I am also composing. You know, I will give Shah Rukh a couple of versions of the song, the way I do it. And I will also integrate it with the traditional way the Bollywood films are done. I will give them the options and they will decide which one to use in the film” Akon added.

Ra.1 being produced by “Red Chilies Entertainment” will witness Shah Rukh playing a superhero.

“You know the tradition in Africa is not different from India. There is same type of entertainment going on; the difference is only in language. I always wanted to expand my horizon, explore and enjoy” he told.

“The world tour is coming soon and India is one of my biggest market so I will do number of shows here” he added.

Two lines from his song “Beautiful” was dedicated to actress Kareena Kapoor, who plays the female role in Ra.1.
