Hollywood might witness Aamir Khan soon. Although Slumdog Millionaire was not up to the mark for him, he met director Danny Boyle and is now striving hard for his new project Bombay Velvet, which will be directed by Anurag Kashyap , a very famous chap in bollywood.

Currently Aamir has decided to meet up with James Cameron the director of Hollywood’s mega-budget “Avatar”. Both of them will get closer at a colloquium in Delhi, on March 13, 2010. The seminar will be about the varying atmosphere of filmmaking.

Aamir Khan has been reportedly striving for his mega meet with the Hollywood director, looking at his films and preparing a question and answer session for him. Cameron, too, has been briefed about Aamir and his work.

This will be Cameron’s first time visit to India. It should be interesting to see what is the result out of the meeting of one Bollywood biggie  or Bollywood star and the another one from Hollywood.

The ‘Mozart of Madras’ has done it again. A.R Rahman reached an exceptional milestone at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards winning two Grammys for his music from Oscar Award winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’

Rahman who was nominated for two gramophones for his Slumdog Millionaire score in the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media categories (Jai ho) walked away with the awards during the pre show event.

‘This is insane, god is great again,’ Rahman said as he accepted his second award.

The song, ‘Jai Ho’ was sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and Rahman himself. This is the first time Rahman has been nominated for a Grammy.

He joins other Indian music greats like Pandit Ravi Shankar, Zakir Jussain, Vikku Vinayak and Vishvamohan Bhatt who have won a Grammy in the past.

Rahman’s took on Steve Jordan for ‘Cadillac Records,’ Quentin Tarantino for ‘Inglourious Basterds’, and the producers of ‘Twilight’ and ‘True Blood’ in the soundtrack category.

In the best song category Rahman’s beaten rivals included Bruce Springsteen for his song ‘The Wrestler’, from the Oscar-nominated flick ‘The Wrestler’.

The Grammy success comes after Rahman earned two Oscars for his music in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ at last year’s Academy Awards.

If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name

If you come around here, I make ’em all day

I get one down in a second if you wait

Freida & DevDev Patel and Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire eminence are in love, Patel’s mother has confirmed.

The pair, who became fame with Danny Boyle’s Mumbai based pot-boiler earlier denied romance rumours but they were recently photographed cuddling up in Israel where the Indian actress is shooting for her upcoming film Miral.

“First it was the film and now everything else seems to have fitted into place. Life can’t get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them. Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her,” said Dev’s mother Anita Patel.

Dev, 19 and Freida, 24, are said to have started a relationship on the sets of Slumdog Millionaire and they became increasingly close while travelling the world together to promote the film.

Romance rumours first started gaining weight after Slumdog Millionaire co-star actor Anil Kapoor said the young lovers had a “magical chemistry”.

Freida had neglected her fiancé, public relations executive Rohan Antao, earlier this year.
