Hollywood might witness Aamir Khan soon. Although Slumdog Millionaire was not up to the mark for him, he met director Danny Boyle and is now striving hard for his new project Bombay Velvet, which will be directed by Anurag Kashyap , a very famous chap in bollywood.

Currently Aamir has decided to meet up with James Cameron the director of Hollywood’s mega-budget “Avatar”. Both of them will get closer at a colloquium in Delhi, on March 13, 2010. The seminar will be about the varying atmosphere of filmmaking.

Aamir Khan has been reportedly striving for his mega meet with the Hollywood director, looking at his films and preparing a question and answer session for him. Cameron, too, has been briefed about Aamir and his work.

This will be Cameron’s first time visit to India. It should be interesting to see what is the result out of the meeting of one Bollywood biggie  or Bollywood star and the another one from Hollywood.

The ‘Mozart of Madras’ has done it again. A.R Rahman reached an exceptional milestone at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards winning two Grammys for his music from Oscar Award winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire.’

Rahman who was nominated for two gramophones for his Slumdog Millionaire score in the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media categories (Jai ho) walked away with the awards during the pre show event.

‘This is insane, god is great again,’ Rahman said as he accepted his second award.

The song, ‘Jai Ho’ was sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and Rahman himself. This is the first time Rahman has been nominated for a Grammy.

He joins other Indian music greats like Pandit Ravi Shankar, Zakir Jussain, Vikku Vinayak and Vishvamohan Bhatt who have won a Grammy in the past.

Rahman’s took on Steve Jordan for ‘Cadillac Records,’ Quentin Tarantino for ‘Inglourious Basterds’, and the producers of ‘Twilight’ and ‘True Blood’ in the soundtrack category.

In the best song category Rahman’s beaten rivals included Bruce Springsteen for his song ‘The Wrestler’, from the Oscar-nominated flick ‘The Wrestler’.

The Grammy success comes after Rahman earned two Oscars for his music in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ at last year’s Academy Awards.

Slumdog Millionaire hurled her to Hollywood and now actress Freida Pinto is in demand to be the next Bond girl.

Freida has been invited to a screen shot test for the next spy adventure, the reports said.

he 24 year old actress was actually first spotted by the producers during the casting for the 22nd Bond’s movie ‘Quantum of Solace’ that was released last year.

A source said that “She came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting Quantum of Solace. But she was too young at that time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent. But now she has bloomed into a stunning young woman and would be right to be on Daniel Craig’s arm”.

The chance of the actress to participate in the movie seems stronger because the executive producer of the film, Mr. Barbara Broccoli is eager to cast her in the movie.

If Freida is lucky enough to bag the role in this movie, the role of a Bond girl, then it would be her next international project after Woody Allen’s movie that has already been signed.

Oscar winning Slumdog Millionair’s child actors Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Mohammad  Ismail have bagged their second film. Only this time it’s a Bollywood flick and one where they play VIPs and  not ‘Slumdogs’.

The kids are now re-living the day when they returned after attending the Osacrs for their first film but this time it is for Kal Kisney Dekha , a Vashu Bhagnani film starring his son Jackie Bhagnani.

And while the controversy surrounding them and Slumdog director Danny Boyle refuses to die,  the two can’t stop thanking the British filmmaker for the current opportunities  that they have got.

“I want to thank Danny uncle for everything’, said Rubina.

Producer Vashu and director Abhishek Sharma were looking for a scene where the hero saves VIPs at the airport, and they thought the kids home-coming was just right for this sequence.

They say anything can happen in the world of films, after all the commotion over not being taken care of by Danny Boyle, it seems the kid’s lives might just have taken a star turn.
