Beyonce is role model for Obama’s girls

R&B star Beyonce  is thrilled after US Frist Lady Michelle Obama hailed her as the perfect role model for the couple’s two daughters.

“She (Michelle Obama) told me that she was very happy that her children had an artist like myself – and I don’t even feel right saying this – she said she was happy they look up to me”, the singers said.

The 27 year old pop star was handed the honour of performing at US President Barack Obama’s inauguration ball in January this year, according to reports.

Michelle Obama, approached her before the event to thank her for setting sush a good example to their two children, Malia, 10, and Sasha, seven.

The Dangerously in Love singer was delighted to have made such an impact on America’s First Family.

Slumdog Millionaire kids bag new film

Oscar winning Slumdog Millionair’s child actors Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Mohammad  Ismail have bagged their second film. Only this time it’s a Bollywood flick and one where they play VIPs and  not ‘Slumdogs’.

The kids are now re-living the day when they returned after attending the Osacrs for their first film but this time it is for Kal Kisney Dekha , a Vashu Bhagnani film starring his son Jackie Bhagnani.

And while the controversy surrounding them and Slumdog director Danny Boyle refuses to die,  the two can’t stop thanking the British filmmaker for the current opportunities  that they have got.

“I want to thank Danny uncle for everything’, said Rubina.

Producer Vashu and director Abhishek Sharma were looking for a scene where the hero saves VIPs at the airport, and they thought the kids home-coming was just right for this sequence.

They say anything can happen in the world of films, after all the commotion over not being taken care of by Danny Boyle, it seems the kid’s lives might just have taken a star turn.

Jackson to announce London dates

Michael Jackson is expected to announce a series of summer comeback concerts at the O2 arena in London.

Former “King of Pop” Michael Jackson will be making a 150 million pounds comeback with the 30 gigs he will be performing in London.

Jackson, 50, who has contracted an MRSA-type bug, is said to be desperate to revive his flagging career, and hopes the string of concerts will bail him out.

The Thriller star is said to be in “advanced talks” with the O2 arena to stage the shows, which are expected to earn him five million pounds each.

“It is only at discussion stage but if it comes off it will be amazing”,  the Sun quoted a spokeswoman for his agents, the Outside Organization, as saying.

Sources have revealed that the shows, scheduled for July, will be Jackson’s last attempt at being a global star again.

“It’s his last chance to hit the jackpot so he can pay a large slice of his debts. Michael feels enough time has passed for the public to forgive the scandals”, a source added.
